Mols rejects Rangers offer

Rangers striker Michael Mols has rejected a new deal offered by the Ibrox club.

Rangers striker Michael Mols has rejected a new deal offered by the Ibrox club.

But the Dutch forward, who has been linked with a move back home to Holland, is desperate to stay with the Light Blues, according to his agent, Rob Jansen.

He told the Scottish Daily Express: “We have got back in touch with Rangers and told them Michael won’t be accepting their current offer.

“But negotiations are still on-going and we are still hopeful that something can be sorted out because Michael has made it clear he wants to stay at Rangers.

“Michael is not being greedy because he knows, in the current climate, he will have to lower his personal demands and he has made it quite clear he is willing to do that.

“There are still one or two problems and I will do my best to make sure they can be sorted out but it’s still too early to say what will happen.

“There are other clubs interested in Michael but he wants to focus on Rangers before he even thinks about anything else.”
