Organisers of the London and Paris bids face an agonising hour-long wait before the decision on who will host the 2012 Olympics is officially announced by IOC president Jacques Rogge.

Organisers of the London and Paris bids face an agonising hour-long wait before the decision on who will host the 2012 Olympics is officially announced by IOC president Jacques Rogge.

After four rounds of voting, he told the delegates that a final decision had been reached and would announced on schedule from 12.30pm Itrish time.

The whole voting process took less than half an hour.
