Ricky Hatton is considering an offer to take part in 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 32-year-old sportsman - who announced his retirement from boxing yesterday - revealed he has been approached by the dancing contest and it's ITV1 ice skating rival 'Dancing On Ice' to be a contestant, but would opt for the BBC1 programme if he had to make a choice.
He said: "I've been asked to do the dancing and the skating, but my footwork is not as good on the ice as it is in the ring.
"I'll pick 'Strictly' on the condition that they let me wear my gloves. It'll make me feel at home a bit more."
Ricky admitted he has been approached by the programme several times but this is the first time he has been able to give the offer serious consideration.
He added: "I've always been that bit too busy to fit it in. But now I've hung up my gloves, it's more of a reality."
The former boxing champion also insisted he wouldn't worry about donning the Lycra and sequins costumes if he took part.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "A world champion boxer wearing Lycra and sequins - it's not very fitting is it?
"But if that's what you have to do, I've always been up for a laugh."
'Strictly Come Dancing' returns to BBC1 in the autumn.
