Lazio beat Sampdoria 6-5 in a penalty shootout to win the Coppa Italia tonight after the sides had drawn 1-1 after extra-time.

Lazio beat Sampdoria 6-5 in a penalty shootout to win the Coppa Italia tonight after the sides had drawn 1-1 after extra-time.

Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera saved Armando Campagnaro’s kick before Ousmane Dabo struck his effort into the back of the net to hand Lazio their fifth Coppa Italia title and first since 2004.

Mauro Zarate had scored in the fourth minute for Lazio but Giampaolo Pazzini levelled the match for Sampdoria in the 32nd minute.
