Successful football club boss Malachy O'Rourke has emerged as the front runner to take over the Fermanagh football manager's position.

Dom Corrigan left a vacancy when he quit citing a lack of financial support from his county board and Erne County chiefs have targeted O'Rourke, who enjoyed success with Loup in Co Derry to fill the void.

O'Rourke's chief problem will be the balancing act between club and county in the coming months, having led The Loup to the All-Ireland club semi-final, which takes place in February.
