James Bowles has been drafted into the Cork senior hurling panel ahead of their Guinness All-Ireland appointment next Sunday with Kilkenny.
The Newtownshandrum former minor star replaces Castletownroche corner forward Jonathan O'Callaghan, who underwent surgery last week on a fractured cheekbone.
Meanwhile, half-back John Gardiner has been declared fit ahead of the decider.
Gardiner missed out on the semi-final win over Wexford after picking up a hand injury in a football match with his club.
