'Big Brother' housemates still party despite failing task

The ‘Big Brother’ housemates have failed their latest task.

Despite failing to complete the ‘Endurance Humpty Dumpty’ challenge – which involved contestants dressed as ‘All the Queen’s Men’ pelting their ‘Humpty Dumpty’ housemates with eggs for four hours – yesterday, the contestants were still treated to a prize party by Big Brother.

The task got off to a bad start when unemployed 21-year-old Govan – who, as an egg, was perched on a wall - was eliminated from the challenge for putting his feet on the ground.

Medical student Sunshine, 24, also caused problems after complaining she was concerned about coming into contact with eggs in case they caused an allergic reaction.

Eventually, trainee joiner Nathan, 25, attempted to persuade his fellow housemates to “sack off” the task.

He said: “No one’s really bothered about the party, are you up for sacking this off?”

However, 28-year-old Mario stood his ground, stating: “I’m here to the bitter end.”

Big Brother decided to end the task early after both teams were disqualified for breaking the rules on numerous occasions.

Despite failing the ‘Endurance Humpty Dumpty’ challenge, housemates were still treated to various nibbles and drinks in the kitchen – but even this wasn’t good enough for some contestants.

Mario commented: “This is what we waited for all day?”

He added while he didn’t “want to appear ungrateful”, the housemates would have cooked a “proper dinner” if they knew all they would be getting was nibbles.
