Limerick’s St Stephen's Day meeting on Sunday has been cancelled due to frost.

Limerick’s St Stephen's Day meeting on Sunday has been cancelled due to frost.

Irish Turf Club officials are due to stage a further inspection on Sunday to assess the prospects of racing on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday going ahead.

Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: “Snow is not actually a problem at Limerick, but the track is frozen and there is no imminent thaw expected.

“There will be an inspection on Sunday to look ahead to the rest of their meeting.”
