Cork club refuse to play hurling clash

Cork hurling club side Erin's Own are refusing to play tomorrow night's Cork Senior Hurling Quarter-Final against Newtownshandrum.

Cork hurling club side Erin's Own are refusing to play tomorrow night's Cork Senior Hurling Quarter-Final against Newtownshandrum.

Their players Brian Corcoran and Brian Murphy are injured after featuring in last week's win for the Cork hurlers over Clare.

Erin's Own feel aggrieved at having to play so soon afterwards and have had a request for a postponement turned down.

They failed in their appeal to have the game put off at last Tuesday night’s County Board meeting.
