New Zealand has become the latest country to have its credit rating downgraded.
Fitch Ratings as well as Standard and Poor's have brought the country down from double-'A' plus to double-'A'.
Fitch said the country's high level of external debt is a situation which is "likely to continue", while Standard and Poor's cite increased government spending following Christchurch's earthquake.
