Riot police have been deployed outside the headquarters of Greece's state-run broadcaster in Athens.
Thousands of protesters have gathered outside the ERT offices following the shutting down of the national radio and television services last night.
The move comes as part of cost-cutting measures being put in place by the government in exchange for the next phase of bail-out funding.
The temporary shut-down has led to the laying off of almost 2,700 workers in the state broadcaster.
