Bride banned for showing too much cleavage

An Italian priest interrupted a marriage because the bride was showing too much cleavage.

Don Pier Giuseppe Gaude wouldn't allow her into the Santa Rita parish in Turin.

He asked the crowd to "go in peace" and went back to his room after she arrived at the church.

He later explained the problem to the parents of the bride, named only as Isabella.

"I don't quite see the point in denying access to my daughter, as you see so much of women's bodies everywhere nowadays," her mother Franca said.

"And one has to consider that the whole ceremony cost us £1,220. That was £1,200 for the nuptial dress - which is not that revealing if you ask me - and £20 for the organist, all for nothing."

Isabella later married her fiancé Remo in a civil ceremony and decided to give up on the religious one.
