A massive 35,000 people turned out to greet All-Ireland senior hurling champions Tipperary at their homecoming in Thurles this evening.
Throngs of people lined the streets, as their heroes made their way from Thurles railway station in an open topped bus to Liberty Square where a mighty reception awaited them.
The players were introduced individually to the adoring crowd with suspended star Brian O'Meara getting the biggest cheer of the night when he raised the Liam McCarthy cup.
Team manager, Nicky English, and captain Tommy Dunne also received huge cheers as they thanked the supporters for the homecoming.
The cup is expected to tour the whole county in the coming weeks
