About a dozen homemade bombs have exploded at a Muslim shrine in eastern Bangladesh, leaving at least one man dead and over 50 others injured, police said.

About a dozen homemade bombs have exploded at a Muslim shrine in eastern Bangladesh, leaving at least one man dead and over 50 others injured, police said.

The explosions occurred late last night at Akhaura in Brahmmanbaria district, about 50 miles east of the Bangladesh capital, Dhaka, as the worshippers were participating at an annual feast.

The dead man has not been identified yet. The reason behind the attack was not immediately clear.
