Brand warns 1D star of 'inter-generational sex war'

Russell Brand has warned Harry Styles they could be heading for a "sex war".

The 37-year-old lothario - who was previously married to Katy Perry and has dated a string of famous women including Kate Moss and Geri Halliwell - is a fan of the teenage singer's group One Direction, but after hearing Harry has a penchant for older women, he thinks the 'One Way Or Another' star should focus on girls his own age.

He said: "I think One Direction seem really, really lovely. I met them at the Olympics and they were really good looking and charming.

"I really liked Harry. I like the curly hair and he's got nice lips, he seems quite cheeky, they're all very funny. I think they're lovely and we're not competing for the same female audience, they're quite young.

"[He likes older women?] That's not on, There's got to be carefully defined parameters otherwise there'll be an inter-generational sex war, and you know where that leads in the world of pop."

Russell met One Direction backstage at the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony in London last summer, and joked there were so many famous people around, if disaster struck it would have an impact for years.

He added in a live chat with the Heatworld website: "I was backstage with The Who, the Spice Girls and all those people and I thought, 'Wow, if terrorists let a bomb off now, 'Celebrity Big Brother' would be s**t in 2018."
