A huge explosion has rocked Kosovo’s main power plant, causing casualties and damaging nearby houses.
Police could not immediately confirm whether there have been any deaths in the blast at the Kosovo A power plant outside the capital, Pristina.
They say at least a dozen people have been injured.
A black plume of smoke could be seen rising from the coal-fired plant, as ambulances ferried the injured to hospitals. Police sealed off the area, fearing more explosions could follow.
It is not immediately clear what caused the blast.
Local media reported the blast was a gas explosion and that there were four deaths.
Reporters added that the workers have been evacuated from the complex.
