Shels took their fixture frustration out on Harps to cruise into the third round of the FAI Cup.

Ollie Cahill brought a sluggish game to life on 21 minutes when he headed home a Thomas Morgan cross in from the right for the lead goal.

Jason Byrne increased Shels’ lead seven minutes later from a penalty after he had been pulled down by Jonathan Minnock.

Wes Hoolahan then scored a delightful third goal on 43 minutes, working a one-two with Jason Byrne to chip James Gallagher.

Gary Crossan got Harps' consolation goal on 70 minutes before Byrne added his second and Shels' fourth eight minutes from the end.
