Brian Dowling has vowed not to let 'Big Brother' fans down.
The Irish star - who shot to fame after winning the show in 2001 - is to take over from Davina McCall when the series re-launches on Channel 5 with 'Celebrity Big Brother' next month, but admitted the news hasn't sunk in yet.
Writing on his twitter page, he said: "Thank u all so much for all your love and support!!I won't let all u BB fans down!! Big Brother House this is Brian,u are live on Ch 5.......
"I am very happy to say that I shall be hosting Big Brother this year for Ch5!It still hasn't sunk in yet!!"
However, the 33-year-old presenter - who also won 'Ultimate Big Brother' last year - explained the nerves have already started setting in.
He tweeted: "First day as official BB presenter and off to the gym!!Not what I imagined!!! A little nervous but excited!!!"
With Brian fronting the main show, Emma Willis will host brand new sister show 'Big Brother's Bit On The Side'.
She said: "I'm so happy that Big Brother is back on our screens! I'm such a massive fan of the show so I'm over the moon that I've been asked to be a part of it. I can't wait to get stuck in."
