Singer Robbie Williams is set to rejoin his former band Take That, it was reported today.
The 35-year-old Angels star told the Daily Mirror he was in contact with his former band mates and a reunion was on the cards.
He said: “I’m in regular contact with them and it’s looking more likely by the week. The lads all seem up for it. I think it would be fun.
“Let’s see what happens, but my head’s in the right place, so the timing could be right if Gary calls. I think it would be fun. It would be good.”
Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Gary Barlow – who Williams is believed to have fallen out with before he quit Take That – split the band in 1996 a year after Williams left.
But in 2005 they reformed and have since sold more than six million albums and scored number one hits with 'Patience' and 'Shine'.
Williams, who has been living in Los Angeles, had huge success after a faltering start to his solo career with singles including 'Millennium' and 'Rock DJ'. But his last album 'Rudebox' was, by his high commercial standards, a flop.
Take That formed in 1990 in Manchester and set the standard for a clutch of boy bands that followed. They have scored 11 number one hits – five after Williams left.
