Run For Paddy has been given a clean bill of health after his heroics in the Gala Casinos Daily Record Scottish Grand National at Ayr on Saturday.
The 10-year-old showed reservoirs of stamina to hold off Ladalko by a short-head and supply trainer Carl Llewellyn – who also rode the horse – with a first success since taking over from Mark Pitman at Weathercock House.
A yard spokesman revealed the gelding has come out of the Scottish National unscathed – with the celebrations to begin in earnest tonight.
“He’s fine and will be back in the yard this afternoon,” said Llewellyn’s head lad Rainer Sequeira.
“He’s come out of the race fine, ate up and is very happy.
“The only question mark we had was how he’d get on over the trip but he’s done us proud.”
“We’ve not had a party yet – that will come this evening.”
