Irish cinema revenue unharmed by on-demand TV
The rise of on-demand TV services does not seem to be harming Ireland's love of the cinema.
New figures show we spent €99m at the pictures last year, that's a €3m rise on the 2013 amount.
According to Rentrak EDI, which compiles the figures, €38m euro has been spent at the box office so far this year.
The new Avengers movie has been the biggest hit so far, taking in nearly €2.8m since it was released last month.
