William Hill are reportedly in talks with TurfTV about signing up to the new picture provider’s service.
From January 1, pictures from 31 tracks in the UK, including the likes of Cheltenham, Epsom, Newmarket and Aintree, will only be available to betting shops taking TurfTV pictures.
Coral became the first of the major high street names to reach a deal last week, and William Hill spokesman David Hood told the Racing Post: “We are currently in discussion with TurfTV and these talks will continue into next week.
“Our ultimate goal is to ensure that we get a sensible commercial arrangement and our customers continue to receive the best possible service.”
Asked if Ladbrokes were on the verge of reaching an agreement, Charlie Methven, spokesman for TurfTV, was quoted as saying: “Right at this moment nothing has been signed. Hopefully more deals are on their way and we continue to talk to our potential customers.”
In addition to Coral, Paddy Power, Boylesports and the Tote will show the TurfTV service.
