Authorities in Belfast got an earful this week, after complaints about the noise levels coming from a Foo Fighters concert there.

The Dave Grohl band played to 30,000 fans on Sunday when they headlined the Tennents Vital event at Boucher playing fields in south Belfast on Tuesday.

While their fans were no doubt pleased with the performance, residents up to 24 kilometres away were not as eager to hear the Seattle band.

Belfast City Council has received a high volume of complaints as a result.
