An American helicopter was shot down north of Baghdad today, and three crew members were wounded, the US military said.

An American helicopter was shot down north of Baghdad today, and three crew members were wounded, the US military said.

The UH-60 Black Hawk was hit by anti-aircraft fire in Taji, 12 miles north of the Iraqi capital.

Three of the four crew members were injured in the attack, but are expected to recover, the US military said. .

The crew was rescued from the area and the helicopter has also been recovered.
