Scottish actor Ewan McGregor has rubbished reports he is disappointed with the recent Star Wars films, insisting the process of working on the sci-fi saga is simply hard work.
The 34-year-old heart-throb was shocked at reports he deems the latest trilogy inferior to the original George Lucas classics of the late 1970s and early 1980s, and believes the false stories stem from his criticism of the tricky filming techniques he was subjected to.
He explains: "I've never said that I'm disappointed with the films to anybody, because it's not true. I've talked about the process of making them being difficult, because it is.
"There's no question that standing in front of a green curtain acting to a bit of marker tape stuck on a stand instead of acting with another actor isn't what we're trained or prepared to do.
"So it's difficult, it's really difficult."
