Cork City 4 Waterford United 0
Having kept Cork in the FAI Ford Cup with a goal that forced last night's replay, Denis Behan scored a hat-trick to book City's passage into the semi-finals.
Ray Scully wasted a very scoreable chance for Blues after just five minutes before bad defending was clinically punished six minutes later.
Behan's fiercely struck free-kick went straight through the Blues' wall and then squirmed past the grasp of keeper Packie Holden.
A poor back pass by Robert Brosnan then led to Cork's second goal on 36 minutes with Behan once again availing of the opening to shoot past the advancing Holden.
Behan was also involved in Cork's third killer goal on 62 minutes, flicking the ball on for winger Liam Kearney to drill home.
Substitutes Colin O'Brien and John O'Flynn then combined to set up Behan for his hat-trick on 85 minutes.
