An alleged Russian organised crime leader has been arrested in Italy on charges he tried to fix the ice-dancing competition at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

An alleged Russian organised crime leader has been arrested in Italy on charges he tried to fix the ice-dancing competition at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.

Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov was arrested by Italian law enforcement authorities with the assistance of the FBI, said prosecutors in New York.
