WATCH: Dramatic footage as passers-by rush to save boy from flooded canal

A video uploaded to YouTube shows a young boy being swept down a flooding canal in the Yemeni capital of Sana'a.

The boy stumbles as he tries to escape the fast-moving water and is swept away. As he struggles to regain his hold on the side of the wall, passers-by rush to his assistance. One man jumps down into the water and lifts him up to another man, who pulls him to safety.

It is unknown at this point who the boy was or whether he was injured.

Sana'a has been hit this week by much-needed heavy rain after a prolonged water shortage.
