McCanns hope for breakthrough with TV appeal

It is hoped a breakthrough in the case to find missing British child Madeleine McCann may be brought about by a fresh TV appeal from her parents.

A new television reconstruction will be aired next Monday on the BBC and it is hoped it may trigger someone's memory or encourage those who may know something to come forward.

Now aged 9, Madeleine McCann went missing six years ago when it is believed she was taken from a holiday apartment in Portugal.

Former Scotland Yard detective, John O'Connor, said it is possible new leads will emerge even at this late stage.
