Minsk is set to resume his hurdling career next month after rejoining Dessie Hughes following a stint on the Flat with John Oxx.
Hughes is eyeing a novice event at either Navan and Punchestown for the four-year-old’s first run of the winter campaign.
Minsk had a spell with Hughes last term after a highly-successful end-of-season streak on the Flat for Oxx.
But his only run over hurdles ended with defeat at Fairyhouse in February, after which he was found to be below par and he was forced to miss an intended run in the Triumph Hurdle.
Minsk rejoined Oxx and shaped well in two runs in Listed contests on the level, the latest coming at the Curragh where he was only beaten a neck by Midnight Soprano.
“Minsk has been back with us a couple of weeks. He came back after he ran at the Curragh,” said Hughes.
“I think he’ll be going to Navan in middle of next month or to Punchestown around that time. He’ll run somewhere in the middle of November.
“He should be a good horse for the winter. We’re very lucky he’s still a novice.”
