Second half goals from Gareth McGlynn and Ciaran Martyn ended Shels' unbeaten start to the season.

Shels had the better of the first half with Jason Byrne unlucky not to give them the lead after two good chances, one of which rattled the crossbar.

But Derry were much better in the second half and scored twice within three minutes to stretch their unbeaten league run to six.

McGlynn hit the opener with a stunning right-foot shot following Paddy McLaughlin's cross in from the right.

Gary Beckett then put Martyn through to sidefoot home the second.
