Cork and Tipperary will clash in another All-Ireland camogie decider next month after both seeing off their semi-final opponents yesterday.

Cork and Tipperary will clash in another All-Ireland camogie decider next month after both seeing off their semi-final opponents yesterday.

Reigning champions Tipp, 2-11 to 0-9 winners over the Rebel women last year, had to fight hard to earn their seventh straight final appearance.

Tipp beat Wexford 1-13 to 1-8 at Nowlan Park, but lapsed after opening up a 1-10 to 1-1 lead after half-an-hour.

Eimear McDonnell swept home Tipp's goal after only 30 seconds. Wexford free-taker Kate Kelly flashed home a green flag in reply, but points from McDonnell, Claire Grogan, and 2004 captain Joanne Ryan soon saw Tipp in command.

Wexford fought back to a goal deficit with five minutes remaining, but Tipp goalkeeper Jovita Delaney was equal to the Slayneysiders' desperate attempts at a second goal.

Late Tipp points from substitute Sheena Howard and Grogan settled the issue.

Cork were rampant in their 5-17 to 0-5 thrashing of Limerick. Emer Dillon, Amanda O'Regan (penalty), Dillon again, and substitutes Colette Desmond and Sarah Donovan all goaled in a one-sided affair.

Captain Vera Sheehan scored the Shannonsiders' only point from play just a few minutes from full-time.

Cork, who last won the All-Ireland in 2002, will try to halt Tipp's three-in-a-row bid at Croke Park on September 18.
