Minogue abandons her singers to tip White for 'X Factor' win

Dannii Minogue has tipped rival act Laura White, from Atherton in Lancashire, to win this year's X Factor rather than one of her own singers.

Dannii Minogue has tipped rival act Laura White, from Atherton in Lancashire, to win this year's 'X Factor' rather than one of her own singers.

The judge, who is mentoring the over-25s group, said she believes Laura White, 21, is the most talented of this year's contestants.

Minogue, 36, represents Daniel Evans, Spanish singer Ruth Lorenzo and former drug user Rachel Hylton. All three have escaped the chop after viewers put the hopefuls up for the judges' vote.

She told Closer magazine: "I think it's all about Laura, who's in Cheryl's group. She's got a sensational voice and is the front-runner in my mind."

Speaking about Simon Cowell's 16-year-old singer Eoghan Quigg, she said: "Eoghan's voice just isn't strong enough - no matter how cute he is."

White, 21, feared being booted off the 'X Factor' at the weekend after reports of her romance with a show executive.

She stunned viewers and the judges however with a performance of the Jocelyn Brown song 'Somebody Else's Guy'.
