Meet Ed. Ed is not a human being.

Ed is, in fact, a computer-generated model, created by animator Chris Jones. Ed's just a nickname - he's actually Mr Head.
Jones has been working on human body animation for over a decade, and Mr Head is one of a growing collection of bodily bits which might, at some point, become one big personal human.
For one person working alone, it's incredibly impressive work.
Computer generated humans have come an incredibly long way. The 2001 computer-animated film Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, for example, took 960 computers to render, at a cost of US $137m - and, despite poor reception by critics, was widely praised for its realistic animation. By modern standards, however, the animation looks considerably dated.
Modern techniques have been used to place deceased celebrities in advertisements, including Audrey Hepburn for Galaxy chocolate and Bruce Lee for Johnnie Walker.
