Paul Rudd has revealed "not a lot of people care" about his forthcoming movie 'This is Forty'.

The 'Role Models' star explained the director of the film – which will see the actor and Leslie Mann reprise their roles from 2007 motion picture 'Knocked Up' - Judd Apatow is reluctant to reveal too many details about the project because people aren't bothered about it and he doesn't want them to get "sick of it".

Rudd said: "Judd was telling someone the other day that it's coming out in a while and he said: 'I don't want people to know about it and get sick of it. But the truth is so few people really care. It's not like we're Terrence Malik here'."

The 42-year-old actor insisted the spin-off movie - which will also see Charlyne Yi reprise her role as Jodi - is not a sequel, but simply tells the story of Pete (Paul) and his wife Debbie (Leslie), who is the sister of Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl) from 'Knocked Up'.

Rudd added to Collider: "It's really like our story but it's not like a sequel, it's just checking in with us."
