Reports soul sensation Joss Stone has been ditched by Gap because of her "under-age" relationship with producer Beau Dozier have been rubbished by the clothing giant.
The soul singer, now 18, was hailed as the new face of the high street chain thanks to her fresh-faced image, but she caused outrage in America at the age of 17 by moving in with 25-year-old Dozier in Los Angeles, as she was still below the age of consent under Californian law.
But a Gap spokesperson insists the reports are "absolute tosh" and "a complete fabrication" - because the Right To Be Wrong beauty's summer campaign has been a huge success in the US and the company has no view on Stone's private life.
Advertisers are lining Stone up for an international autumn campaign for Gap alongside fellow soul star John Legend and Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams - who was previously billed as her replacement.
