Liverpool 1, Leeds Utd 1(full-time)

Liverpool grabbed a battling point after a second-half Danny Murphy goal with their manager Gerard Houllier in hospital.

Harry Kewell had given Leeds a first-half lead, but Houllier failed to appear on the bench after the break and it was later revealed that he had been taken to hospital as a precaution after complaining of chest pains.

Gerard Houllier had been absent from the touchline bench for all the second half, and it was Phil Thompson who made the 74th-minute decision to replace McAllister with Jamie Redknapp.

Murphy was booked after 79 minutes for a foul on Kewell as Leeds fought back. David Batty took over from Keane with four minutes left.

Nick Barmby replaced Murphy in injury-time, and Lee Bowyer could have won it with a volley inches over.
