Following a wonderfully sporting campaign, which also saw them lift the Allianz NFL Division 4 title, Limerick have been confirmed as the winners of the Football Fair Play index and the €10,000 training fund prize that goes with it for the Panel Development Fund.
Over the course of their nine-match campaign, the Shannonsiders received just 15 cautions, at an average of 1.67 per game, which saw them top the table from Kilkenny in second place.
Three of this Sunday's finalists are in a very strong position to annex the inaugural Fair Play Index for the Allianz National Hurling League, suggesting that teams with a greater level of discipline rise to the top.
Clare's discipline all through Division 2 has been very impressive, having received just seven cautions and one sending off in total, earning them a current average score per game of 1.29 points.
A similarly disciplined performance in the final against Wexford will see them top the table and earn the €10,000 prize.
Cork and Galway go head-to-head in the Division 1 decider also in a very strong position, and if Clare's discipline should let them down, then both Division 1 finalists are in good shape to overtake them.
Waiting in the wings, with their campaign completed, are Waterford with an excellent average of 2.00 points per game and any slip-up by the top three at this stage could see Waterford slip through to take the title.
