Fawcett and O'Neals' tears for son

Stars of the 1970s, Farrah Fawett and Ryan O'Neal, cried in court recently when they heard their troubled son admit he is still addicted to heroin.

Stars of the 1970s, Farrah Fawett and Ryan O'Neal, cried in court recently when they heard their troubled son admit he is still addicted to heroin.

However, 19-year-old Redmond O’Neal was granted a reprieve by Judge Brian Rains, who agreed to dismiss a forgery charge from 2003 if the teenager completes a year-long rehabilitation program in Mississippi.

The judge told O’Neal this was his last chance. His father, 63, then gave his son the thumbs-up sign and later predicted: “He’ll do it”.

O’Neal and Fawcett split in 1997 after a tumultuous marriage but appear to have rekindled their romance lately.
