This afternoon's meeting at Uttoxeter goes ahead as scheduled following a third inspection at 10.30am.
Clerk of the course Charlie Moore announced an initial inspection for 8am but decided to look again an hour later after further snow overnight.
While the ground was not frozen, the snow was proving a stumbling block as officials struggled to remove the frost covers, but Moore is delighted to report the ground staff have managed to get racing on.
He said: "We've given racing the go-ahead and I have to say the ground staff are absolute heroes.
"They are sweating profusely having worked hard to get the covers off but thankfully it's paid off."
