Hypnotist Lewis dies in balcony fall

US stage hypnotist Scott Lewis has fallen to his death from the balcony of a Sydney apartment. Lewis was in Australia to perform at the Sydney Opera House.

A police spokeswoman said that officers found his body on an apartment balcony yesterday morning.

Media reports said Lewis had fallen from an 11th floor balcony to the fourth floor.

He was staying with other performers at the building, which is a short drive from the opera house.

The spokeswoman said investigators had ruled out any suspicious circumstances.

She says police had yet to determine whether the death was the result of “misadventure or self-harm”.

The show’s co-producer Tim Lawson and the Sydney Opera House confirmed Lewis’s death.
