The Colombian Army has blamed the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) for kidnapping two police officers and four civilians in the southern state of Narino on Saturday.

FARC recently signed an agreement with the government promising to end its kidnappings and ransom demands.

The Marxist rebel army has been fighting the Colombian Government for almost 40 years in an attempt to introduce agrarian reform and improve the status of the country’s oppressed peasant farmers.
