Phoenix looks for revenge on prankster Gibson
Actor Joaquin Phoenix is determined to get his revenge on Mel Gibson for locking him in a cupboard during the filming of movie Signs.
The 29-year-old was filming a scene in a closet when he realised Gibson and the rest of the cast and crew had tip-toed away, leaving him shouting to be let out for 20 minutes.
He recalls: "When I did Signs with Mel Gibson he played this big practical joke on me on-set. There's this long, tense scene where I'm watching TV alone in a closet, and when we were filming it suddenly got very quiet.
"After a while I realised everyone had left the set and I was still sitting there, locked in this closet on my own. I was in there shouting: 'Hey Guys! What's going on?'
"This went on for about 20 minutes. I refused to leave in the end. I didn't want to give them the satisfaction, so I just sat there. I'll get him back though."
