Arsenal are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League - despite losing to Bayern Munich at the Olympic Stadium.

A Giovane Elber goal separated the sides, but Lyon only drew with Spartak Moscow - the French side needed to win, so the draw put Arsenal through to the last eight.

Lyon, who needed to win, went behind when Dmitry Parfenov scored from the spot after four minutes.

The French outfit equalised in the second half through Anderson when they were also awarded a penalty.

But it was not enough as they battled in the final minutes for the win to see them through.
