Java development company Insignia Solutions today saw their share prices soar in pre-market action after the company agreed to combine its Secure System Provisioning (SSP) server software product with IBM's Websphere platform.
This type of software allows mobile operators to repair the system software on their subscribers' terminals, or to add new capabilities, over the air.
The companies plan to co-sell and market the product to mobile operators and phone makers worldwide.
Financial terms weren't disclosed. The stock rose141.4%, to $2.39 (€1.87) in heavy trading of 830,968 on Instinet.
