Actress Cate Blanchett is set to attend a two-day Australian conference - just six days after giving birth to her third child.
The 38-year-old, who welcomed son Ignatius Martin Upton on Sunday, has requested the assistance of author Julianne Schultz to help her in her duties as co-chair for the summit Australia 2020, which includes moderating a debate during the creative arts segment of the talkfest.
Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says: "I want to extend my best wishes to Ms Blanchett and her family and thank her for her contribution to the Australia 2020 Summit thus far.
"Ms Blanchett has indicated that she will continue to participate in the 2020 summit in her role as a co-chair of the creative Australia panel and has asked that Dr Schultz also be added as an additional co-chair on this panel."
The 'Elizabeth: The Golden Age' star and writer/director Andrew Upton have two sons, Dashiell, six, and Roman, three.
