The IRFU will hold a hearing to consider a citing complaint against Leinster player Sean O’Brien resulting from the away game at Benetton Treviso last weekend.

The IRFU will hold a hearing to consider a citing complaint against Leinster player Sean O’Brien resulting from the away game at Benetton Treviso last weekend.

O’Brien was cited by the independent citing commissioner after the match for “allegedly making contact with the eye area” of a Benetton Treviso player in the 62nd minute of the game.

The hearing will take place in the Ulster branch offices at 5pm on Wednesday, September 22.

The findings of the disciplinary panel will be released following the completion of the hearing.

Shane Jennings was suspended for 12 weeks last season having been found guilty of a similar offence .
