Michael Bell’s Wigmore Hall has suffered a minor setback ahead of Sunday’s Singapore Airlines International Cup.
The four-year-old lost a shoe on Monday morning meaning he was unable to do any work, however, he will be back in action on the track tomorrow.
“We gave him a day off today. We will just give him a lead out,” said Gillian Dolman, travelling groom for Bell.
“He shifted and stepped on his plate yesterday morning and it got chipped. We left the shoe off and he’s a lot better today.
“All being well, he will canter on the all-weather track tomorrow.”
Everything is going to plan for the other runner from Britain, Luca Cumani’s Presvis, who was second two years ago and fifth last year.
“All’s good with him. He cantered on the Polytrack,” said Cumani’s assistant Charlie Henson.
“He went for another paddock schooling. We’ll just keep him ticking over.”
