Liza offered 'celebrity divorce' show
David Gest and Liza Minnelli were offered the chance to fight their divorce battle on a reality TV show.
The pair would have had to take their bitter feud before a "jury" on television and agreed to be bound by its decision.
Gest has filed for divorce and is suing Minnelli for more than $9m (€7.3m) claiming that she left him with lasting injuries during their marriage.
He said recently: "Liza Minnelli can be very, very violent - anybody else would be doing jail time for what she's done."
Gest and Minnelli were offered millions of dollars to take part in the Warner Brothers show, Celebrity Justice, the New York Post said.
But Gest pulled the plug on the project, deciding to do a television interview instead, said his lawyer Raoul Felder.
Gest claims he has to have 80 painkilling injections every four to six weeks, and will have to undergo plastic surgery for the permanent injuries Minnelli caused him.
She denies beating Gest and has launched a $1m (€800,000) counter-suit.
