Workers at Ernst and Young in Ireland are to have their pay cut by 7.5%, it was confirmed this afternoon.
However, support staff earning less than €40,000 a year will be exempt from the cuts.
The chartered accountancy firm is also revising its overtime policy and aligning its holiday entitlements with the marketplace.
A statement said that no workers would be made redundant, but that these changes were necessary to avoid putting staff at a more serious risk.
